Ducab Group has reinforced its presence in Africa with its first supply of 220kV high-voltage (HV) cables to Senegal, marking the 23rd African country in its portfolio.
This milestone forms a critical part of Dakar’s electrification project, designed to enhance the Senegalese capital’s power infrastructure and meet rising energy demands.
The delivery aligns with Senegal’s ambitious target of achieving universal electricity access by 2026, significantly boosting energy capacity and driving urban development in Dakar. This project underscores Ducab’s commitment to supporting Africa’s evolving energy needs with advanced solutions.

Ducab’s entry into Senegal is part of its broader growth strategy in Africa, where it already serves 23 countries, including Angola, South Africa, and Kenya. With operations in 75 global markets, Ducab’s expanding African footprint aligns with the UAE’s US$4.5 billion pledge to support renewable energy initiatives in the region.
This expansion comes amid strengthening UAE-Africa ties, highlighted by 150 bilateral business meetings facilitated by the Dubai International Chamber between companies from Dubai and Senegal. These collaborations underscore the UAE’s role as a strategic partner in Senegal’s economic growth and infrastructure development.
