Seventy-two Dutch companies are showcasing their products at Gulfood 2026, marking a notable expansion of the Netherlands’ presence at the world’s largest food and beverage trade exhibition and underlining the UAE’s growing importance as a regional commercial gateway.

The Dutch exhibitors are spread across two venues, with the majority based at Dubai World Trade Centre and around 20 companies participating at Dubai Exhibition Centre in Expo City Dubai. The pavilion reflects a diverse mix of food and beverage segments, with a strong focus on dairy, meat, seafood and beverages.

According to Caroline Cramer, Managing Director of Orange Exhibition Management and organiser of the Dutch pavilion, 27 companies are specialising in meat and dairy products, while others represent a broader range of food categories. She noted that the Netherlands has maintained a consistent presence at Gulfood for approximately 25 years, viewing the event as a key platform for international trade engagement.

Dutch participation this year has grown significantly, with exhibition space increasing by 50 percent compared to previous editions. The number of participating companies has also risen, from 65 last year to 72 in 2026.

Cramer highlighted that Dutch food products, particularly dairy items such as cheese, are globally recognised for quality and reliability. She added that many Dutch companies see the UAE as an ideal base for business expansion and long-term partnerships across the Middle East and beyond.

She also pointed to Dubai’s strategic position as a commercial hub connecting Asia and Europe, reinforcing Gulfood’s importance for companies seeking access to Gulf and wider regional markets.
