Dubai International (DXB) is preparing for an unprecedented Eid Al Fitr travel surge, with over 3.6 million guests expected to pass through its terminals between 26 March and 7 April 2025. The peak is projected for Saturday, 5 April, when 309,000 passengers are forecast to travel in a single day.

Average daily traffic during this period is expected to reach 276,000 guests, with the most significant rise occurring in the first week of April. Departures during Eid week are projected to be 19% higher than average weekly volumes over the past month, driven by strong seasonal and holiday demand.

Travel momentum is bolstered by spring school breaks and increased demand across both VFR (visiting friends and relatives) and leisure travel markets. High outbound traffic is anticipated to key destinations including India, Pakistan, and the UK, along with increased interest in Sri Lanka, Türkiye, and Italy.

To help travellers navigate the airport efficiently during this peak period, Dubai Airports is promoting the use of DXB Express Maps—a smart, real-time wayfinding tool. Passengers can scan a QR code from any flight information screen to locate gates, dining options, retail outlets, and nearby amenities.

The airport has also enhanced accessibility measures for People of Determination (PoD). Services include clearly marked accessibility routes, discreet assistance for Sunflower Lanyard wearers, and a dedicated Assisted Travel Lounge in Terminal 2.

In collaboration with airline, government, and commercial partners, Dubai Airports is implementing measures across all terminals to ensure a smooth travel experience for all passengers during one of the busiest holiday periods of the year.
