e& UAE has set a new global standard in 5G connectivity, achieving an unprecedented uplink speed of 600Mbps on a live commercial network—marking a major milestone in the evolution of 5G-Advanced technology.

The breakthrough was accomplished by aggregating the 2100MHz and C-band frequencies in the FR1 range and deploying three transmit antennas (3Tx) on a commercial Customer Premises Equipment (CPE). Fully aligned with 3GPP Release 17 standards, the deployment took place at a live 5G site in the UAE.

This record-setting uplink speed is a critical step forward for uplink-intensive applications, enabling real-time data uploads for smart factories, drone surveillance, cloud-hosted collaboration, and immersive AR/VR experiences. For content creators and consumers, the enhanced speeds mean faster uploads of high-definition videos and seamless cloud gaming.

“This isn’t just a technological breakthrough—it’s a strategic leap,”

said Abdulrahman Al Humaidan, Vice President of Fixed Access Network at e& UAE.

“We’re setting the stage for a hyper-fast, uplink-driven digital world, reinforcing the UAE’s position as a global tech hub.”

The achievement showcases the practical readiness of 5G-Advanced networks, powered by features like enhanced mobile broadband (eMBB) and ultra-reliable low-latency communication (URLLC). It also lays the groundwork for a new wave of smart connectivity, as the industry moves toward scalable and energy-efficient network deployments.

With this advancement, e& UAE has not only raised the bar for global telecom standards but also unlocked new potential for enterprises and consumers alike, paving the way for a truly connected future.
