‘Economic Content Creators’ Programme Launches with a Focus on Media Excellence

The Dubai Press Club successfully concluded the first week of the ‘Economic Content Creators’ Programme, marking the launch of the larger Dubai Content Creators Programme.

Organized in collaboration with the UAE Ministry of Economy, the initiative aims to equip content creators with advanced skills to produce engaging, accurate, and impactful economic content, leveraging innovative digital tools and strategies.

Maryam Al-Mulla, Acting Director of the Dubai Press Club, emphasized that training content creators is essential for advancing economic media and building a sustainable and inclusive economy. She noted the programme’s alignment with Dubai’s vision of establishing itself as a leading media hub, focusing on producing purposeful and audience-centric content.

The week featured a variety of workshops and lectures led by industry experts and academic institutions. Highlights included:

  • Economic Insights: Sessions like ‘Managing the Economy: Myths, Facts, and Everything In Between’ explored fiscal and monetary policies, sustainable growth strategies, and taxation’s role in economic development.
  • AI Integration: A workshop titled ‘AI Technologies and the Visual Content Industry’ showcased AI applications in video, infographics, and content management.
  • Economic Foundations: Murdoch University Dubai facilitated a session on economic principles, covering topics like scarcity, opportunity cost, market dynamics, and GDP analysis.
  • Social Media Trends: In collaboration with Blin.x, a session highlighted influencer strategy, audience trends, and viral content creation techniques.
  • Storytelling with Data: A workshop titled ‘From Numbers to Impact’ provided insights on transforming economic data into compelling stories using analytical tools.

The first week concluded with a session on global economic shifts, led by Marwan Al-Hel, addressing trust in economic news, the role of experts, and the transition from traditional to digital media platforms. This session emphasized the media's critical role in shaping public understanding of global economic trends.

By combining advanced training, expert insights, and hands-on experience, the programme lays the foundation for a new era of economic content creation, empowering creators to engage audiences and enhance public understanding of complex financial topics.
