During the ongoing International Defense Exhibition and Conference (IDEX) 2025 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC), EDGE Group’s Learning & Innovation Factory (LIF) and the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
This collaboration underpins the National Strategy for Industry and Advanced Technology, Operation 300bn, and marks a significant step in accelerating the digital transformation of the UAE’s industrial sector.
The MoU, signed by Fatma Essa Al Mheiri, Acting Director of MoIAT’s Technology Adoption and Development Department, and Ahmed Al Khoori, EDGE Senior Vice President of Strategy & Excellence, will see LIF act as the strategic partner in MoIAT’s Transform 4.0 programme. This initiative aims to promote the adoption of Industry 4.0 technologies and establish cutting-edge smart manufacturing facilities.
The partnership aligns with the UAE's vision to enhance industrial competitiveness and innovation, positioning LIF as the key driver for this digital revolution. Through the collaboration, LIF will help upskill manufacturers and implement advanced technology-driven solutions to support 100 high-potential companies in the digitalisation process, while establishing a network of Industry 4.0 lighthouses.
This landmark MoU will play a crucial role in fostering a dynamic, tech-driven future for the UAE’s defence and industrial sectors, strengthening the country’s position as a leader in advanced manufacturing and technology.
