Emirates Global Aluminium (EGA) has officially launched the third season of EGA Ramp-Up, its flagship programme designed to equip the next generation of UAE entrepreneurs with the tools to build impactful, sustainable businesses.

The initiative aligns with the UAE’s Entrepreneurial Nation Strategy 2031 and is supported by the Ministry of Economy.

Targeting startups focused on economic growth and job creation, EGA Ramp-Up offers intensive training, expert mentorship, and networking opportunities. Previous seasons have drawn hundreds of aspiring entrepreneurs, resulting in the creation of over 1,000 jobs. Notably, more than 35% of participating startups were founded by women.

Season three will see EGA collaborate with Microsoft UAE to deliver capacity-building workshops and mentorship on technology-driven strategy and scaling.

Commenting on the launch, Alia bint Abdulla Al Mazrouei, Minister of State for Entrepreneurship, highlighted the synergy between EGA and the Ministry of Economy:

“Several Ramp-Up finalists have made it to the UAE’s Future 100 list, and vice versa. This reciprocal growth is a testament to the programme’s success.”

Yasser Al Gergawi, Director-General of Sandooq Al Watan, reinforced the programme’s significance:

“Empowering Emirati entrepreneurs is vital for a diversified and sustainable economy.”

EGA CEO Abdulnasser bin Kalban added,

“Entrepreneurship is key to long-term growth. Through Ramp-Up, we aim to support innovative businesses that positively impact both community and environment.”

Applications for EGA Ramp-Up season three are now open and will close on 11 May 2025.
