EHS Hosts 'Future Readiness Lab' to Advance UAE's Health Sector

The Emirates Health Services (EHS) recently hosted the "Future Readiness Lab," a pivotal event attended by Dr. Yousif Mohamed Al Serkal, Director-General of EHS, alongside representatives from the Government Development & The Future Office, the Ministry of Health and Prevention, UAE University, and leading health experts from local and international entities.

The lab featured intensive workshops addressing key topics, including advancements in primary and specialised healthcare, mental health, public health, and the integration of advanced technology and big data to transform health services. Participants provided forward-thinking insights to support EHS in developing a strategic plan for 2027-2031, aligning with national priorities to foster sustainability and excellence in healthcare.

Dr. Abdulaziz Al Zarooni, Acting Executive Director at EHS, highlighted the UAE's commitment to establishing a robust, future-ready health system. He noted EHS’s focus on digital innovation, proactive solutions, and sustainable models to enhance community well-being and position the UAE as a global leader in healthcare. He thanked national teams for their collaborative efforts in achieving excellence in the health sector.

He Atraf Shehab, CEO at the Government Development & The Future Office, emphasised the lab's role in equipping government employees with future design tools to address emerging challenges. He stressed the importance of crafting innovative solutions that leverage technology to drive progress in priority sectors.

The event concluded with participants presenting proposals for projects to integrate the UAE's health system, enabling a smart, sustainable transformation aligned with international standards. This initiative reinforces the UAE’s vision of delivering world-class healthcare services while adapting to future opportunities and challenges.
