Emirates Health Services (EHS) is making strides in its mission to eliminate bureaucracy and improve customer experience through the Zero Government Bureaucracy Programme.
A key achievement has been the enhancement of specialised telemedicine services, benefiting over 2,200 patients annually who suffer from conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and high cholesterol.
EHS has simplified procedures, accelerating the delivery of telemedicine services and significantly reducing the need for physical visits to service centers. This has resulted in a reduction of more than 4,400 annual visits, saving over 44,000 minutes each year, and cutting the average service delivery time from 30 minutes to 20 minutes.
Dr. Abdulaziz Al Zarooni, Acting Executive Director of the Financial and Support Services Sector at EHS, highlighted the organisation's commitment to improving health services by continuously innovating and developing telemedicine offerings. These efforts align with the national Zero Government Bureaucracy Programme, aimed at enhancing the quality of health services and improving the overall quality of life.
Al Zarooni emphasized that the outcomes achieved by EHS reinforce its position as a leading federal entity in health services, adopting global best practices and leveraging smart technologies. The reduction of bureaucracy in healthcare not only streamlines access to medical care but also positively impacts productivity and mental well-being by reducing stress and anxiety among patients.
EHS’s ongoing commitment to innovation and development across various health service domains underscores the UAE government's leadership in efficiency and global competitiveness, particularly in the absence of bureaucratic hurdles.
