The "Transition to Practice" Programme for New Graduates, managed by the Nursing Department at Emirates Health Services (EHS), has received accreditation from the American Nurses Credentialing Centre (ANCC).
This significant achievement makes it the first programme of its kind to be accredited in the UAE, highlighting EHS’ commitment to improving the quality of healthcare and nursing services while establishing new standards of excellence in the field.
Dr. Sumaya Mohamed AlBlooshi, Director of the Nursing Department at EHS, said that this accomplishment reflects EHS’ dedication to delivering high-quality healthcare and nursing services.
“This accreditation is a testament to EHS' dedication to enhancing the proficiency of nursing professionals across its facilities, recognising their pivotal role in providing exceptional, sustainable healthcare that enhances patient safety.”
The accredited programme spans six months and employs advanced educational methods grounded in simulation techniques and hands-on experiences.
“Graduates will receive a certification from the accrediting body, enabling them to embark on their clinical careers equipped with the skills necessary to deliver safe and effective patient care,”
she concluded.
