Emirates Adds Fifth Weekly Flight to Antananarivo Route for Holiday Season
Emirates has announced the introduction of a fifth weekly flight on its Dubai-Antananarivo route, starting December 13, 2024, to cater to increased demand during the festive travel season.
The additional service, operating every Friday for four weeks, will boost the airline’s capacity to over 1,800 seats per week in each direction, providing greater travel flexibility and connectivity for holidaymakers.
The enhanced schedule follows the successful launch of Emirates’ Madagascar services in September. The Dubai-Seychelles-Antananarivo route will see the new flights operate as EK707 and EK708, utilizing the Boeing 777-300ER aircraft in a three-class configuration—First, Business, and Economy. Tickets are now available for booking through emirates.com, the Emirates App, Emirates World retail outlets, and travel agencies.
The seasonal service, available until January 10, 2025, is designed to connect Madagascar and Seychelles with key destinations across Emirates’ extensive network, including the UAE, Sri Lanka, France, the UK, and the U.S. This is particularly significant for Madagascar’s diverse population, which includes communities with origins in France, Sri Lanka, China, and India. Nationals of Seychelles can also take advantage of visa-free entry to Dubai, enhancing its appeal as a vacation or stopover destination.
Passengers onboard Emirates flights can enjoy a world-class travel experience, including regionally inspired gourmet meals, premium beverages, and access to ice, the airline’s award-winning inflight entertainment system featuring over 6,500 channels of global content.
This temporary capacity boost underscores Emirates’ commitment to meeting seasonal travel needs while offering unparalleled service and connectivity.
