The UAE is set to advance its food security ambitions as the Emirates Agriculture Conference and Exhibition 2026 returns with an expanded agenda aimed at strengthening local production and driving innovation across the sector.

Dr. Amna bint Abdullah Al Dahak, Minister of Climate Change and Environment, announced details of the second edition during a press conference in Dubai. The event will take place from April 22 to 26 at ADNEC Centre Al Ain under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Positioned as more than a traditional exhibition, the platform is designed to shape the future of the UAE’s food ecosystem. It brings together farmers, private sector players, startups, government entities, and academic institutions to address supply chain resilience and climate challenges.

The five-day event will feature over 50 speakers, more than 40 panel discussions, and participation from over 200 Emirati farmers, alongside startups and leading companies. Dedicated tracks will cover farmers, education, community engagement, and entrepreneurship, ensuring a comprehensive approach to sector development.

A key addition this year is an outdoor livestock zone hosting live auctions, expanding the event’s scope to include livestock breeders and aquaculture specialists. Interactive elements such as farm-to-table competitions and innovation hackathons will further engage visitors and young talent.

The conference will also spotlight advanced technologies including artificial intelligence in agriculture, while fostering partnerships through agreements and collaborations led by the National Agriculture Centre.

Organisers say the event reflects a broader national strategy to build a resilient, technology-driven agricultural system that supports economic diversification and positions the UAE as a global model for sustainable food production.
