Emirates and Air Peace have activated a bilateral interline agreement that significantly expands air connectivity between West Africa, the UAE, and the United Kingdom, offering passengers smoother and more flexible travel across key regional and international routes.

The enhanced partnership allows customers of both airlines to travel on a single ticket with through-checked baggage on select routes, reducing transit friction and improving overall journey comfort. The agreement builds on an existing relationship between the two carriers and reflects growing demand for seamless connections linking Africa with global hubs.

Under the expanded arrangement, Emirates passengers can now access additional West African destinations on Air Peace’s network beyond Nigeria’s 13 cities. New connection points include Banjul and Dakar via Abidjan, as well as Freetown and Monrovia via Accra. These gateways open wider access to Emirates’ global network for travellers across the region.

For Air Peace, the agreement integrates its West and Central African routes into Emirates’ Dubai hub and onward to major destinations including London Heathrow, London Gatwick, and London Stansted. The move is expected to support strong travel demand between Nigeria and the UK while offering passengers greater choice and flexibility.

Executives from both airlines said the partnership strengthens aviation ties, supports tourism and trade, and enhances Africa’s access to international markets. Emirates currently operates a Boeing 777-300ER on the Dubai–Lagos route, while Air Peace continues to expand its regional and international footprint with a fleet of more than 50 aircraft.

Tickets under the interline agreement are available through both airlines’ websites and travel agents.
