Emirates and Garuda Indonesia Strengthen Partnership with Joint Loyalty Programme

Emirates and Garuda Indonesia have expanded their partnership with the launch of a joint loyalty programme, allowing members of Emirates Skywards and GarudaMiles to earn and redeem Miles across a combined network of over 200 destinations.

This initiative enhances travel benefits for frequent flyers and strengthens ties between the two airlines.

First established through a codeshare agreement in 2022, the partnership has now evolved to provide loyalty programme members with greater rewards and travel opportunities. The agreement was signed during the Aviation Festival Asia 2025 by Dr. Nejib Ben Khedher, Divisional Senior Vice President of Emirates Skywards, and Rahmaniar, Miles & Ancillary Group Head at Garuda Indonesia.

Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, emphasized the significance of the collaboration:

“At Emirates Skywards, we continuously seek new ways to enhance value for our members. This partnership with Garuda Indonesia will offer greater flexibility, allowing frequent flyers to earn and redeem miles more seamlessly across our networks.”

Wamildan Tsani Panjaitan, President & CEO of Garuda Indonesia, echoed this sentiment, highlighting the programme’s role in connecting the world with Indonesia.

“Our loyal passengers will now enjoy an enriched travel experience with access to a broader network, more rewards, and seamless opportunities to explore diverse destinations,”

he stated.

The new loyalty programme provides Skywards members with exclusive benefits such as earning up to 2 Skywards Miles per mile flown, redeeming Miles for Garuda Indonesia flights, and accessing seamless connectivity via Emirates’ double daily flights to Jakarta and Bali. Meanwhile, GarudaMiles members can enjoy similar privileges across Emirates’ extensive global network.

Emirates Skywards, an award-winning loyalty programme with over 34 million members worldwide, continues to enhance its offerings. Recognized for its excellence at the 2023 Frequent Traveler Awards and the 2024 World Travel Awards, this new collaboration further cements its reputation as a leader in airline rewards.
