Emirates has renewed its strategic partnership with TUI Cruises, marking a significant milestone in Dubai’s rise as a premier global cruise tourism hub.
The extension of this collaboration coincides with TUI Cruises’ expansion in Dubai, highlighted by the addition of a second vessel homeporting at the city’s Port Rashid for the 2025/2026 cruise season.
The partnership renewal was formalized during ITB Berlin by Adnan Kazim, Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer of Emirates Airline, and Wybcke Meier, CEO of TUI Cruises. This agreement underscores Emirates’ commitment to providing integrated travel experiences, seamlessly linking air travel with maritime journeys for cruise passengers.
Under this renewed partnership, Emirates will continue its close collaboration with TUI Cruises in areas such as marketing, planning, and operational strategies. A key feature of this partnership will be the synchronization of flight schedules with TUI Cruises’ itineraries, ensuring smooth connectivity between air and sea travel. Additionally, Emirates will explore dedicated ‘cruise blocks’ to meet demand from key markets across its global network.
Emirates will also work alongside Dubai stakeholders to enhance ground transportation solutions between Dubai International Airport (DXB) and Port Rashid Cruise Terminal, ensuring a seamless transfer experience for cruise passengers.
Kazim expressed pride in Emirates' role in establishing Dubai as a top cruise destination, stating,
“Our renewed collaboration with TUI Cruises will further enhance cruise passenger arrivals, supporting Dubai’s growing status as the gateway for premium cruise itineraries globally.”
TUI Cruises, with its Mein Schiff 6 vessel, will continue offering extended itineraries across Asia, connecting destinations such as Singapore, Thailand, and Japan. The partnership also involves leveraging data-driven insights and providing specialized support for passengers, further elevating the customer experience.
As Dubai’s cruise sector expands, its world-class infrastructure and seamless connectivity continue to attract more travelers, solidifying its position as a global cruise tourism leader.
