Emirates is set to introduce free high speed Starlink Wi Fi across its entire in service fleet, beginning with Boeing 777 aircraft in November 2025, in a move that positions the airline for one of the most extensive inflight connectivity upgrades in the industry.

The rollout will cover all 232 aircraft by mid 2027, giving passengers ground level internet performance at cruising altitude. Customers will be able to stream, make calls, work, browse and use social platforms on both seatback screens and personal devices with simple one click access.

The first aircraft fitted with Starlink, a Boeing 777 300ER registered A6 EPF, is currently on display at the Dubai Airshow. It will operate the airline’s first commercial flight with Starlink immediately after the event, marking the start of an accelerated installation programme.

Emirates expects to equip about 14 aircraft per month. Installation on Airbus A380s will begin in February 2026, featuring a three antenna setup that the airline says will deliver higher capacity and broader coverage across all cabins.

Live TV over Starlink will launch for personal devices before expanding to seatback screens from late December 2025. The service will be available to all passengers at no cost and without Skywards membership requirements.

Sir Tim Clark, President of Emirates Airline, said the partnership reflects a wider transformation of the fleet, which includes new Premium Economy cabins, refreshed Business and First Class products, and upgrades to the entertainment system.

The Starlink rollout forms part of Emirates’ broader retrofit programme covering nearly 220 aircraft, with 76 already refurbished and back in service.
