Emirates is preparing for a surge in passenger traffic at Dubai International Airport’s Terminal 3, with more than 300,000 travellers expected to begin their journeys between April 18 and 21.
The airline has urged all passengers flying out this weekend to arrive at the airport well in advance. With traffic congestion anticipated in and around Terminal 3, Emirates is advising travellers to factor in extra travel time and ensure all travel documents are in order before arriving.
Peak travel periods often lead to long queues at check-in, immigration, and security. Emirates has reminded passengers to use online check-in services and to check baggage allowance rules in advance to help streamline their airport experience.
This travel rush comes as many UAE residents take advantage of the weekend and spring break to travel abroad, adding to the usual volume of passengers through one of the world’s busiest terminals.
Airport and airline teams are expected to be on high alert throughout the weekend to manage the flow of travellers and minimise delays.
Passengers are encouraged to stay updated through official Emirates channels and allow themselves plenty of time for a smooth start to their journeys.
