Emirates airline has temporarily closed its first-class check-in area at Dubai International Airport (DXB) for an extensive renovation, which will continue until June 2025.
The airline plans to enhance the space, promising a luxurious new private lounge for first-class passengers once it reopens.
During this period, travelers flying to the US and other destinations can use the designated check-in desks at Terminal 3. Passengers headed for the US will proceed to desks 54-60, while those flying to other destinations can check in at desks 16-20.
Currently, Emirates operates seven lounges in Terminal 3, including three for first-class and three for business class, alongside the newly opened Emirates Lounge for all premium customers. The airline’s first-class passengers can still enjoy seamless travel experiences at the airport, with expedited security and personalized services like escorts to departure lounges.
The upgraded private lounge will allow first-class passengers to check in from a serene space with soft sofas, where a dedicated team will handle their bags and offer tailored services. Emirates has emphasized that the new area will elevate the experience, making it even more exclusive and relaxing for premium customers.
The airline, known for its commitment to luxury, has also been investing significantly in its global lounge network. In its 2024-25 financial report, Emirates revealed an investment of Dh44 million in new and refurbished lounges at international airports, including London Stansted, Jeddah, and Paris Charles De Gaulle. Further updates on the Dubai lounge upgrade will be shared soon.
