The Emirates College for Advanced Education (ECAE) has officially become a member of the prestigious World Education Research Association (WERA), marking a significant step in its commitment to global education research and innovation.

This affiliation allows ECAE to engage in impactful international research collaborations, shaping educational practices and policies on a global scale. WERA, a prominent global network of educational organizations, is known for promoting high-quality research that addresses key educational challenges worldwide.

By joining WERA, ECAE gains access to a broad network of global educational leaders, allowing the institution to contribute to the development of effective educational policies. This partnership aligns with the UAE’s long-term national goals, including Abu Dhabi Vision 2030 and UAE Vision 2071, aimed at cultivating a globally competent education sector.

ECAE Vice Chancellor, Dr. May Laith Al Taee, highlighted the importance of this collaboration, stating,

"This partnership strengthens ECAE’s position as a global leader in educational research and reinforces our mission to cultivate forward-thinking educators connected to the UAE's vision."

Additionally, Dr. Hanadi Kadbey, Head of Institutional Research, emphasized how WERA membership enhances ECAE's research capabilities and opens up broader collaborative opportunities. Professor Shaljan Areepattamannil, Chair of the Office of Research, noted that this milestone allows ECAE to engage with a diverse network of international scholars and advance cutting-edge research methodologies.

This partnership also provides ECAE faculty and students with opportunities to participate in global forums, fostering exchanges of ideas and best practices that will enhance their professional development and contribute to international knowledge-sharing.
