The Emirates Energy Award (EEA), organised by the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy, continues to strengthen its position as a leading global initiative promoting sustainability and clean energy.
The fifth edition of the prestigious award, themed "Empowering Carbon Neutrality," is set to close submissions on March 1, 2025, with strong participation across its 10 categories from around the world.
H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy, highlighted that the award aligns with Dubai’s commitment to sustainable development and its goal of achieving net-zero emissions by 2050.
“Dubai remains dedicated to fostering innovation and recognising pioneering projects that offer tangible climate solutions,”
he stated, emphasizing that the emirate has positioned itself as a global benchmark for clean energy initiatives.
Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Vice Chairman of the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy and Chairman of the EEA, noted that the award reflects the vision of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to establish Dubai as a hub for renewable energy and sustainable progress.
“Beyond recognition, the award has evolved into a strategic tool for raising awareness and promoting best practices in energy management,”
he said.
Since its inception in 2012, the EEA has received over 600 submissions from more than 40 countries, spanning categories such as large and small energy projects, energy efficiency, circular economy, innovation, and education. Ahmed Butti Al Muhairbi, Secretary-General of the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy, reiterated that the award serves as a global platform to inspire communities to adopt sustainable solutions.
With a strong focus on innovation, the Emirates Energy Award continues to encourage international collaboration, empowering institutions and individuals to contribute toward a cleaner, greener future.
