Emirates has announced a significant expansion of its Japan operations with the launch of a second daily service to Tokyo Narita starting 1 May, reinforcing the airline’s commitment to the market and enhancing connectivity between Japan, Dubai, and global destinations.

The additional flight, EK320, will depart Dubai at 22:30 and arrive in Tokyo Narita at 13:30 the following day. The return service, EK321, will leave Narita at 21:30 and arrive in Dubai at 03:50 the next day. Both services will be operated by a retrofitted Boeing 777-300ER.

The new frequency is designed to offer travellers greater flexibility and improved multi-destination travel options, including convenient stopovers in Dubai. Eastbound passengers will benefit from afternoon arrivals in Tokyo, supporting smoother domestic connections, while westbound travellers will enjoy early-morning arrivals in Dubai for onward connections across Europe, Africa, and South America.

Emirates will deploy a four-class refurbished Boeing 777-300ER featuring 260 Economy seats, 24 Premium Economy seats, 40 Business Class seats in a 1-2-1 layout, and eight First Class suites. The aircraft includes upgraded cabin interiors, Japanese-inspired cuisine such as Kaiseki meal trays, and access to more than 6,500 channels of entertainment on the ice system.

From 1 May, Emirates will offer over 22,500 weekly seats across 28 flights to Tokyo Narita, Tokyo Haneda, and Osaka, along with 1,240 tonnes of weekly cargo capacity.

The airline has served Japan since 2002 and continues to strengthen its presence through partnerships with Japan Airlines and All Nippon Airways, providing connectivity to 36 domestic and regional destinations.
