Emirates anticipates a surge in passenger traffic at Dubai International Airport (DXB) during the Eid Al Fitr holiday, with over 80,000 travelers daily departing from Terminal 3 on peak days, March 28-29 and April 5-6, as passengers head abroad for spring break.
With heavy congestion expected, Emirates advises travelers to arrive at the airport three hours before departure and plan ahead for potential delays. Passengers can utilize a range of check-in options, including online check-in via the Emirates App or website (available 48 hours before departure), self-service kiosks at Terminal 3, and mobile check-in ports across the terminal. Additional services include Emirates City Check-in at ICD Brookfield Place, home check-in, and early baggage drop-off, available up to 24 hours before departure, or 12 hours for U.S.-bound flights.
To ensure a smooth journey, Emirates reminds passengers to clear security at least 90 minutes before departure and arrive at the gate 60 minutes before takeoff for Economy and Premium Economy, and 45 minutes for First and Business Class. Boarding gates will close 20 minutes before departure, with no exceptions for late arrivals.
With stringent check-in and gate closure policies in place, Emirates aims to ensure seamless operations and timely departures, facilitating a stress-free holiday travel experience for all passengers.
