Emirates Gears Up for Record-Breaking Travel Volumes During Eid Al Fitr
Emirates anticipates a surge in travel activity ahead of and during the Eid Al Fitr holidays, with over 80,000 passengers expected to travel daily through Dubai International Airport Terminal 3 on peak days: 28–29 March and 5–6 April.
To ensure a smooth travel experience, Emirates urges all passengers to arrive at the airport up to 3 hours before departure, as heavy traffic and congestion are expected around Terminal 3 entrances.
Recommended Check-In Options:
Passengers can take advantage of Emirates’ wide range of early and remote check-in services, including:
- Online check-in via emirates.com or the Emirates App (opens 48 hours before departure)
- Emirates City Check-in & Travel Store at ICD Brookfield Place (24–4 hours before departure; not available for US-bound flights)
- Home check-in service from hotel or residence
- Self-check-in kiosks and bag drop at Terminal 3
- Mobile check-in ports throughout the terminal
- Ajman Central Bus Terminal check-in (for northern Emirates; 24–4 hours before departure)
Early Bag Drop & Night-Before Check-In:
- Free night-before luggage drop-off at the airport
- Early check-in up to 24 hours before departure (12 hours for US-bound flights)
Key Timings:
- Clear immigration and security: 90 minutes before flight
- Gate arrival:
- 60 minutes before departure (Economy & Premium Economy)
- 45 minutes before departure (First & Business Class)
- Boarding gates close: 20 minutes before departure
- Late passengers will not be accepted for travel
