Emirates has launched a new daily service to Shenzhen, its fourth gateway in mainland China, strengthening its presence in East Asia.

The inaugural flight landed at Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport on 1 July, marking a strategic expansion of Emirates’ China operations.

The new route operates with a Boeing 777-300ER, departing Dubai at 10:05 a.m. and arriving in Shenzhen at 10 p.m. The return flight leaves Shenzhen at 11:55 p.m., reaching Dubai early the next morning. This schedule offers smooth connections to major European cities and Emirates’ wider global network.

Passengers on the inaugural flight received special commemorative gifts, highlighting Emirates’ commitment to enhancing travel options between the UAE and China. Shenzhen is the first mainland Chinese city to receive Emirates’ upgraded Boeing 777 with enhanced cabins and the award-winning Premium Economy.

Emirates’ expansion supports growing trade and tourism ties between the UAE and China, the UAE’s largest trading partner in the Middle East. The airline’s increased cargo capacity also aids Shenzhen’s advanced manufacturing sector and global supply chains, boosting the “Aerial Silk Road” initiative.

With visa-free travel now available for GCC visitors to China, Emirates aims to facilitate convenient, seamless connectivity aligned with its broader East Asia growth strategy.
