Emirates Airline, the world's largest international airline, has officially resumed passenger services to Lagos, Nigeria, reinstating daily flights to one of Africa's major economic hubs.

The inaugural flight, EK783, touched down in Lagos, marking a significant moment for both Emirates and the Nigerian aviation sector.

An official delegation onboard included senior executives from Emirates, such as Adil Al Ghaith, Senior Vice President of Commercial Operations, and representatives from Nigeria, including His Excellency Festus Keyamo, Honourable Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development. Upon arrival, Emirates hosted a VIP event, welcoming government officials and key representatives from Nigeria's Civil Aviation Authority and Federal Airports Authority.

Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, expressed excitement about the resumption, highlighting the airline's commitment to providing a world-class travel experience and enhancing connectivity between Dubai and Nigeria. Kazim thanked Nigerian and UAE authorities for their support in establishing this route.

His Excellency Festus Keyamo welcomed Emirates back to Nigeria, emphasizing the importance of such global brands in fostering economic growth and travel opportunities.

Emirates’ Boeing 777-300ER aircraft will service the Dubai-Lagos route, featuring luxurious First Class suites and a diverse inflight entertainment system, including Nigerian content. To enhance travel convenience, Emirates offers exclusive visa facilitation for Nigerian travelers, allowing for 48 and 96-hour Dubai visa applications.

The resumption of services is set to bolster trade ties between the UAE and Nigeria, with Emirates SkyCargo providing over 300 tonnes of cargo capacity weekly, supporting the transport of key commodities and facilitating global trade.
