Emirates Opens First Emirates World Store in Africa in Nairobi
Emirates, the world’s largest international airline, has launched its first Emirates World store in Africa, located in Nairobi, Kenya.
The opening, which marks a significant milestone for the airline, highlights its commitment to providing an enhanced customer experience in Africa. Positioned in the Cube on Riverside Drive, the store introduces a refreshed retail concept to the Kenyan market, with plans to expand further across the continent.
The Emirates World store offers a modern, interactive space where customers can receive expert travel advice from dedicated consultants or through self-service smart technologies. Immersive displays, including a full-size Emirates A380 Onboard Lounge showcase, bring the airline’s renowned product closer to Kenyan travelers. Guests can also enjoy features like the ‘selfie mirror,’ capturing photos against scenic backdrops of popular destinations.
At the opening ceremony, Adil Al Ghaith, Senior Vice President of Commercial Operations, Center, was joined by His Excellency Dr. Salim Alnaqbi, UAE Ambassador to Kenya, and other dignitaries.
Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, shared his excitement about bringing the store concept to Africa, promising an elevated experience for Kenyan customers and future store openings across the region.
Spanning over 330 m², the open-plan store is designed to provide a lounge-like atmosphere with personalized service. It features six customer service counters for ticketing, travel planning, and general inquiries, alongside self-service kiosks to streamline the experience.
Emirates has also reinforced its commitment to Kenya, celebrating nearly 30 years of operations, supporting local humanitarian initiatives, and strengthening connectivity with Kenya Airways to expand travel options across Africa.
