The Emirates Orthopedic Society of the Emirates Medical Association will open the 13th Emirates Orthopedic Society Meeting on Friday at the InterContinental Dubai Festival City Hotel, marking a major gathering for orthopedic experts in the region.
Running alongside the event is the First Gulf Knee Course, a new initiative aimed at advancing regional collaboration in knee surgery and research.
The Gulf Knee Course, to be held twice a year and rotated among Gulf countries, seeks to strengthen ties among orthopedic surgeons while promoting innovation in medical education and healthcare across the GCC.
Dr. Ali Al Belooshi, President of the Emirates Orthopedic Society and Chairman of the Conference, said more than 800 participants have registered, including consultants, physicians, and specialists from across the UAE, the Middle East, and beyond. He noted that the conference underscores the UAE’s growing role as a regional and global medical hub.
This year’s program will spotlight advances in knee surgery, covering fractures, sports injuries, joint replacements, revision procedures, and robotic-assisted techniques. Additional sessions will explore shoulder, spine, trauma, foot, and ankle disorders, alongside the latest developments in sports injury management and knee joint reconstruction.
Six hands-on workshops, held twice daily, will enhance clinical and practical skills for attendees. The event, organized by Info Plus Events, will also host an exhibition featuring 25 leading international companies showcasing orthopedic implants, fixation systems, stabilizers, and medical devices focused on bone health and orthopedic care.
