Emirates Post has unveiled a new series of four commemorative stamps to coincide with the opening of the Dubai 2026 World Stamp Exhibition, reinforcing the UAE’s growing role in global philately and cultural exchange.

Launched in collaboration with the Emirates Philatelic Association, the initiative highlights postage stamps as historical records and instruments of cultural dialogue, while supporting knowledge-based specialist hobbies and the UAE’s presence on the international exhibition circuit.

The first stamp marks the Emirates Philatelic Association’s hosting of the Dubai 2026 World Stamp Exhibition, the first event of its kind to be held in the Arab region and West Asia. The exhibition brings together participants from 76 countries, including the United Nations Postal Administration and the Universal Postal Union, and features thousands of rare and valuable stamps from around the world.

The second issue commemorates the 50th anniversary of the Federation of Inter-Asian Philately, founded in 1974, recognising five decades of efforts to promote philately, strengthen cooperation, and support specialised exhibitions across Asia and Australasia.

A third stamp celebrates the centenary of the International Federation of Philately, established in 1926. The issue highlights the organisation’s evolution into a global authority with more than 90 member countries and its role in setting international exhibition standards.

The series concludes with a commemorative stamp honouring the Emirates Philatelic Association and its journey since its establishment in 1996, recognising its contribution to advancing philately and strengthening the global presence of UAE stamps.

Emirates Post said the stamps reflect the intersection of postal communication and cultural expression, positioning philately as a key element of the UAE’s cultural soft power.
