Emirates has renewed its partnership with World Rugby for another decade, securing Platinum Partner status through 2035 and strengthening one of the sport’s most enduring global alliances.

The agreement makes Emirates the first organisation in World Rugby’s history to hold the Platinum Partner title. The airline will continue as Principal Partner for upcoming Rugby World Cups, including the men’s tournaments in 2027, 2031, and 2035, and the women’s tournaments in 2029 and 2033. These events will take place in Australia and the United States, two key markets for the sport’s global expansion.

As part of the extended deal, Emirates will maintain prominent pitch-side branding at all Rugby World Cup events and across World Rugby’s digital platforms. The airline will also feature in promotional materials and deliver digital activations that reach millions of fans worldwide.

Match officials at all World Rugby tournaments will continue to be known as Emirates World Rugby Match Officials and wear the airline’s fly better kit. Emirates branding will also appear in Television Match Official booths during every Rugby World Cup.

Emirates President Sir Tim Clark said the long-term extension reflects the airline’s commitment to supporting rugby’s growth and connecting fans across borders. World Rugby Chief Executive Alan Gilpin highlighted Emirates’ role in the sport’s global development since 2007.

The partnership will expand to include community initiatives and grassroots development across key markets within the Emirates network. The airline’s involvement in rugby spans from operating The Sevens Stadium in Dubai to supporting local clubs and major international competitions.

With the renewed agreement, Emirates reinforces its position as one of rugby’s most influential commercial partners while advancing both men’s and women’s competitions worldwide.
