Emirates SkyCargo Unveils New Livery on Boeing 777 Freighter

Emirates SkyCargo’s Boeing 777 freighter, A6-EFV, has been freshly repainted with the airline’s distinctive new livery after being delivered in July 2024.

Initially rolled out without livery to meet global demand, the aircraft has now undergone a transformation at Emirates Engineering’s in-house paint shop, marking a significant milestone for the airline’s fleet.

Over eight days, the team applied the refreshed livery, highlighting a bold update to the UAE flag on the tailfin, with a dynamic, flowing design enhanced by a 3D effect. The iconic gold lettering across the body of the aircraft, in both English and Arabic, is now more prominent. The Arabic calligraphy on the engines and the signature red branding on the aircraft belly remain unchanged, preserving key elements of the Emirates identity.

Nadeem Sultan, Senior Vice President of Cargo Planning and Freighters at Emirates SkyCargo, emphasized the significance of the new design, stating,

“Emirates SkyCargo freighters are some of the most instantly recognizable aircraft in the skies. This investment in our new livery demonstrates our ongoing commitment to modernizing our fleet as we expand our capacity to serve our global customers.”

The new livery, unveiled in March 2023, is the third iteration of Emirates’ aircraft branding since the airline’s inception in 1985. As part of a gradual fleet update, all 10 Boeing 777 freighters will be repainted, with new freighters—13 are on order—arriving with the refreshed livery from delivery.

This update signals Emirates SkyCargo’s continued investment in its fleet to meet the growing demand for air cargo services worldwide.
