Emirates Steel Arkan Rebrands as EMSTEEL to Drive Global Expansion and Sustainability
Emirates Steel Arkan, the UAE’s largest publicly listed steel and building materials company, has officially rebranded as EMSTEEL, signaling a significant shift in its strategic direction.
The rebranding aims to enhance the company’s operational transformation and global presence.
The new identity was unveiled at a high-profile event in Abu Dhabi, attended by dignitaries, customers, and over 400 employees and partners. The rebrand reflects the successful 2021 merger of Emirates Steel and Arkan Building Materials, which created a company valued at AED 13 billion.
Saeed Ghumran Al Remeithi, Group CEO of EMSTEEL, highlighted the company’s commitment to growth, stating,
“Our EMSTEEL brand represents a unified vision, driving business growth, digital transformation, and sustainability.”
EMSTEEL is aligned with the UAE's Net Zero by 2050 initiative, with 80% of its operations powered by clean energy. The company also boasts a leadership role in low-carbon steel production, reducing emissions by 45% compared to industry peers.
With 16 state-of-the-art plants, EMSTEEL produces 3.5 million tonnes of steel and 4.6 million tonnes of cement annually. It exports to over 70 countries, with global sales accounting for 30% of revenue.
Under the new brand, EMSTEEL will operate two divisions: Emirates Steel and Emirates Cement, which includes Al Ain Cement Factory and other subsidiaries. This structure positions the company for future growth and expansion into new markets.
As EMSTEEL embarks on its next chapter, the company remains focused on delivering high-quality products and solutions to meet the needs of the UAE and global construction industries.
