Emirates has expanded its global tourism partnerships by signing four new Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) during the Arabian Travel Market, bolstering travel and trade flows to Madagascar, Vietnam, Greece, and Western Norway.

The agreements were inked with the Ministry of Tourism and Handicraft in Madagascar, Vietnam-based Sun Group, the Greek Ministry of Tourism, and Fjord Norway. Each partnership focuses on coordinated efforts to promote inbound tourism through joint marketing campaigns, familiarisation trips, and industry collaboration across Emirates' vast international network.

The airline’s new alliance with Madagascar’s tourism ministry highlights its commitment to one of its newest destinations, launched in September 2024. Emirates will help position the island nation as a key leisure destination through advertising, trade development, and curated travel experiences.

In Vietnam, the collaboration with Sun Group aims to drive visitor growth by spotlighting the country’s tourism offerings through media initiatives and promotional incentives. Emirates, which already operates 21 weekly flights to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, will also begin serving Da Nang from June 2025.

Meanwhile, the agreement with Greece’s Ministry of Tourism will support the country’s 2025 tourism agenda by enhancing year-round visitor flows and showcasing lesser-known destinations. Emirates will leverage its global reach to strengthen Greece’s appeal beyond the traditional travel season.

Lastly, the partnership with Fjord Norway aims to promote Western Norway’s iconic natural landscapes through immersive travel campaigns. With Norway seeing 5.6 million tourists in 2024, Emirates’ daily operations are expected to further fuel high-value tourism, particularly from the GCC region.

These latest MoUs underscore Emirates’ strategic role in connecting global travellers to emerging and established destinations, while driving tourism growth and economic opportunities across markets.
