Emirates to Launch Third Non-Stop Flight Between Dubai and Melbourne in March 2025

Emirates is set to enhance its service between Dubai and Melbourne by introducing a third daily non-stop flight starting 30 March 2025.

This new service will be operated with a newly retrofitted Boeing 777-300ER featuring four classes, including the airline’s award-winning Premium Economy and upgraded Business Class.

Currently, Emirates runs two daily non-stop flights between Dubai and Melbourne using Airbus A380s, along with a third service via Singapore. The Singapore-Melbourne route will cease on 30 March, as Emirates shifts to a direct Dubai-Melbourne flight, operated under flight numbers EK404/405. The new service will offer increased convenience with more flexible schedules, departing Dubai at 21:15hrs and arriving in Melbourne at 17:40hrs the following day. The return flight departs Melbourne at 23:55hrs, arriving in Dubai at 07:00hrs.

The Boeing 777-300ER, with 8 First Class Suites, 40 Business Class seats, 24 Premium Economy seats, and 256 Economy Class seats, is designed to provide a luxurious experience. Emirates’ Premium Economy has earned accolades for its comfort, featuring 38-inch pitch leather seats, while the Business Class offers flat-bed seats with a mini-bar and expansive 23-inch HD screens.

This expansion reflects Emirates' ongoing commitment to Australia, which includes recent service reinforcements to Perth and Adelaide, and bolstered by strategic partnerships, including a 10-year codeshare with Qantas. With nearly 12,000 weekly seats to Australia, Emirates is poised to strengthen economic and tourism ties between the UAE and Australia.
