Emirates announced today the introduction of newly retrofitted Boeing 777 aircraft featuring its latest Business Class and Premium Economy cabins to Kuwait and Dammam, Saudi Arabia.
This move is part of the airline's strategy to enhance the travel experience for short-haul flights while expanding its network of cities served by the refurbished aircraft.
Starting from October 27, the retrofitted Boeing 777 will operate on flights EK855 and EK856 to Kuwait. Dammam will follow on November 22, with the refurbished aircraft serving the daily EK823 and EK824, as well as EK821 and EK822 routes. This marks Dammam as the second destination in Saudi Arabia to receive the upgraded planes.
The Emirates Boeing 777 refurbishment began in early July, with six aircraft now in service flying to cities such as Geneva, Zurich, Brussels, Haneda, and Riyadh. The upgraded configuration includes 24 Premium Economy seats arranged in a 2-4-2 layout, offering passengers a comfortable 38-inch pitch and an 8-inch recline.
The Business Class cabin boasts 38 seats in a 1-2-1 configuration, allowing direct aisle access for all passengers. Inspired by the A380, the Business Class seats convert into spacious flatbeds and feature a 23-inch HD screen, providing a premier in-flight entertainment experience.
Emirates is also expanding its offerings in the U.S. with refurbished Boeing 777s on six routes, allowing seamless connections for passengers traveling from Kuwait and Dammam to various destinations. Tickets can be booked through emirates.com or the Emirates App.
