Talented Emirati students participating in the “YouthX Unipreneur” event at Expand North Star 2024 have successfully presented cutting-edge digital innovations that stand alongside global technologies.
Held from October 13-16 at Dubai Harbour, the event is part of the world’s largest gathering for startups and investors, organized by Dubai World Trade Centre and hosted by the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy.
YouthX Unipreneur, launched in 2021, has since become a vital platform for young entrepreneurs to present their digital projects. Attracting over 3,000 visitors and connecting 1,000 students with mentors and investors, the event offers prizes worth AED 500,000, helping young minds turn their ideas into successful projects.
This year, UAE-based startups such as Scrapp by Abdullah Al Nyassi, Rise AI by Ahmed Al Kaabi, and DINOTECH, co-founded by Saleh Haidarah, exemplified the spirit of local innovation with solutions ranging from AI-driven marketing to solar-powered vending machines.
Participants praised Dubai’s supportive tech environment, with students like Mohammed Shawqi and Butti Al Muhairi from MBR School lauding the event’s networking opportunities. Shamma Al Marzooqi, CEO of Awin, also highlighted the importance of connecting with industry leaders.
The event’s success reflects Dubai’s commitment to fostering a thriving startup ecosystem, encouraging young entrepreneurs to drive global technological progress.
