Emirati Talent Competitiveness Council Launches Third Cycle of 'Nafis Award'
Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Emirati Talent Competitiveness Council (ETCC) has launched the third cycle of the Nafis Award for 2024-2025.
With the theme "Compete and Excel," the award aims to promote Emirati talent in the private, banking, and financial sectors, aligning with the UAE's efforts to strengthen national participation in the economy.
The Nafis Award, now open for nominations until December 31, 2024, invites applications from Emiratis working in various sectors, including non-profit organizations, free zones, and private educational institutions. The award celebrates excellence by honoring outstanding Emiratis, both domestically and abroad, in roles such as leadership, healthcare, engineering, and more. A notable addition this cycle is the "Future Jobs" category, emphasizing fields like technology, artificial intelligence, and renewable energy.
The awards are divided into individual and entity categories, with the latter recognizing establishments that have excelled in Emiratisation efforts. The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation and the Central Bank of the UAE will oversee entity performance evaluations.
ETCC’s Secretary-General, Ghannam Butti Al Mazrouei, highlighted the award's role in reshaping perceptions of private sector careers and supporting Emiratisation. The council's ongoing efforts reflect the UAE’s broader goal of fostering national talent to enhance the country’s global competitiveness.
The Nafis Award is set to further drive Emiratisation, ensuring the integration of Emirati talent into key industries and bolstering the UAE's vision for a sustainable economic future.
