Empower Launches First Phase of Jumeirah Beach Hills District Cooling Plant

Emirates Central Cooling Systems Corporation PJSC (Empower) has officially launched the first phase of its state-of-the-art District Cooling plant in Jumeirah Beach Hills (JBH).

With a projected total production capacity of 48,000 refrigeration tons (RT) upon completion, the plant is set to enhance cooling services across Jumeirah, one of Dubai’s most prestigious residential and tourist destinations.

The new plant will provide cooling solutions to iconic hospitality projects, including the Burj Al Arab, Jumeirah Beach Hotel, and Marsa Al Arab, Dubai's upcoming landmark. It will also serve properties such as Madinat Jumeirah Living and Jumeirah Al Naseem Hotel. Future expansions will supply cooling to other notable locations, including Souk Madinat Jumeirah and Jumeirah Al Qasr Hotel.

Adhering to the highest international standards, the Jumeirah Beach Hills plant is designed with sustainable practices and modern urban development trends in mind. Its architectural design complements the aesthetic of the area, blending seamlessly with the surrounding buildings.

Commenting on the launch, His Excellency Ahmad Bin Shafar, CEO of Empower, emphasized the company's commitment to growth and sustainability.

“Empower continues to expand its footprint across Dubai, offering environmentally friendly and high-quality district cooling services,”

he said.

“This new plant plays a vital role in supporting Jumeirah's ongoing development, ensuring world-class cooling solutions for its luxury hotels, resorts, and residential projects."

The Jumeirah Beach Hills plant marks a significant milestone in Empower's efforts to enhance Dubai’s infrastructure, further solidifying Jumeirah’s reputation as a global hub of luxury and hospitality.
