Emirates Central Cooling Systems Corporation (Empower) has announced its participation in the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) Conference and Expo 2023, which is being held in Atlanta, Georgia, USA.

Taking place until 8th February with a participation of several countries from all over the world, the ASHRAE Expo 2023 focuses on the challenges and solutions while expanding the use of innovative energy-efficient technologies. Empower's delegation is headed by its CEO, Ahmad bin Shafar.

ASHRAE Conference & Expo 2023 features an agenda full of professional events, including dialogue sessions, panel discussions, training and educational workshops, and specialised seminars for the participating international delegations.

Empower CEO said,

"ASHRAE Expo is a good opportunity to strengthen alliances with the company’s international partners, as Empower is keen to enhance its role in contributing to achieving the goals of strategies and initiatives that guarantee sustainable development, through various means, including partnerships and agreements with many global organisations and institutions".

He explained that Empower, in collaboration with the ASHRAE, has successfully launched over the past years, two international manuals related to district cooling, which were greatly hailed in many countries around the world, especially as they provide a roadmap for designing high-efficient and environment-friendly buildings. The two manuals also contribute to the development of building designs to be effectively compatible with district cooling systems.

Bin Shafar stressed that participation in the ASHRAE Expo 2023 is a new step towards facilitating, the adoption of the latest technologies used in Designing Buildings, Pathways to Zero energy Emissions and Decarbonisation, refrigerants and Thermal Storage, which are closely related to this year's agenda.
