Emirates Central Cooling Systems Corporation PJSC (Empower), the world's largest district cooling services provider, has signed an agreement to supply eco-friendly district cooling services to the Palm Gateway project in Palm Jumeirah, Dubai.
The agreement ensures a total cooling capacity of 9,470 refrigeration tons (RT), with services set to commence in the second quarter of 2026.
Palm Gateway, a premier residential development, features three interconnected towers with a striking architectural design. The project offers a blend of modern amenities, including high-end retail outlets, fine-dining restaurants, shopping centers, healthcare facilities, and fitness establishments. With panoramic glass windows, the towers provide breathtaking views of Palm Jumeirah, enhancing the luxury living experience.
His Excellency Ahmad Bin Shafar, CEO of Empower, highlighted that the inclusion of Palm Gateway in Empower’s portfolio underscores the trust that real estate developers and residents place in its services. He emphasized Empower’s commitment to delivering high-quality district cooling solutions that consume up to 50% less energy compared to conventional systems. This initiative aligns with Dubai’s sustainability goals and supports the emirate’s efforts to reduce carbon emissions, as directed by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
