ENOC Group used Earth Day 2026 to spotlight more than ten years of measurable progress in energy efficiency, framing sustainability not as a corporate pledge but as an embedded operational practice across its global business.

Observed this year under the global theme "Our Power, Our Planet," the occasion prompted the Group to hold dedicated toolbox talks at its operational facilities, bringing frontline teams directly into conversations around its Energy and Resource Management practices.

At the heart of ENOC's sustainability push is its E&RM strategy, which has driven documented reductions in energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions across its refinery, terminals, retail network, and head office. The programme has generated AED478 million in cumulative cost savings, a figure the Group says demonstrates that operational efficiency and sustainability are complementary rather than competing goals.

CEO Hussain Sultan Lootah said the Group's commitment is guided by Dubai's Clean Energy Strategy 2050 and the UAE's Net Zero by 2050 targets, adding that energy efficiency is built into how ENOC manages consumption and makes investment decisions across its operations.

Looking ahead, ENOC is integrating climate-related performance into its governance and disclosure framework in line with IFRS S1 and S2 standards, a move designed to make its sustainability metrics transparent and meaningful to stakeholders.

The Group's Earth Day activities reflect a broader shift in how energy sector companies in the UAE are approaching environmental accountability, moving away from headline announcements toward structured, auditable performance tracking embedded in day-to-day operations.

With the UAE's net zero deadline on the horizon, ENOC's decade-long track record positions it as one of the more tangible examples of an energy company aligning commercial operations with national climate ambitions.
