ENOC Group has announced more than AED478 million in cumulative savings through its Energy and Resource Management initiatives since 2014, alongside a 21.7 percent improvement in energy efficiency and an 11.5 percent reduction in greenhouse gas emissions intensity.
The figures were shared on the sidelines of its participation in WETEX 2026.
The initiatives, backed by investments exceeding AED156 million, have avoided a cumulative 1.47 million tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent. Renewable energy integration has delivered more than AED75 million in savings since 2017, and the Group achieved a waste recycling rate of 65.24 percent in 2025.
On water, ENOC recycled 688,785 cubic metres of treated water across its operations in 2025, a recycling rate of 24.45 percent. Water intensity stood at 0.0491 cubic metres per tonne of product, about 20.4 percent lower than in 2014.
At the Jebel Ali refinery, roughly 72,389 cubic metres of treated wastewater was redirected for irrigation and industrial supply, saving an estimated AED812,000 a year. Car wash recycling systems across its service stations recovered 527,043 cubic metres of water at a recycling rate of 67.6 percent, while Dubai Natural Gas Company Limited (DUGAS) recycled or reused about 50,053 cubic metres, an 18.2 percent rate. A new water purification and softening system at Dubai Lubricants Processing Plant is expected to save around AED15,000 annually.
Group CEO Hussain Sultan Lootah said water security and responsible resource management are fundamental to the long-term resilience and competitiveness of the energy and industrial sectors. He said practical solutions that expand reuse, cut waste and maximise efficiency are essential.
The efforts align with the UAE Water Security Strategy 2036, which targets a 21 percent cut in total water demand and treated water reuse of 95 percent.
