Epson, a global technology leader, has officially inaugurated its cutting-edge Innovation Centre at Dubai Production City, part of TECOM Group PJSC.
Designed to drive industry innovation and sustainability, the facility aims to showcase Epson’s latest technology solutions and enhance regional collaboration.
The launch event was attended by Yasunori Ogawa, CEO of Seiko Epson Corporation, alongside key TECOM executives and UAE dignitaries. Ogawa emphasized Epson’s commitment to the region, stating,
“Our new facility will serve as a foundation for creating efficient, compact, and precise products that reduce environmental impact.”
Spanning 1,100 square metres, the Innovation Centre is equipped with the latest tools for printing, scanning, visual display, manufacturing, and lifestyle solutions. The hub will enable local insights and customer feedback to be integrated into Epson’s global R&D efforts.
Epson has invested over USD 1 million in the centre, reinforcing its strategy to develop regionally relevant solutions. Neil Colquhoun, President of Epson META-CWA, highlighted that the investment reflects Epson’s vision of empowering diverse industries by addressing market-specific challenges.
The Centre will also host workshops, training sessions, and industry events, supporting Epson’s channel partners, resellers, and customers, including educators, to enhance technological adoption in education.
Majed Al Suwaidi, Senior Vice President at TECOM Group, noted that the Centre aligns with Dubai’s Economic Agenda ‘D33’ and the National Strategy for the Cultural and Creative Industries, contributing to industry growth in the UAE and beyond.
The Centre features Epson’s latest innovations, including the Q-series projector display solutions, EcoTank printers, WorkForce Enterprise Series business inkjet printers, and SurePress digital label printers.
This launch follows the establishment of Epson META-CWA in 2024, with over 330 employees across the region, solidifying Dubai’s role as a hub for Epson’s regional operations.
