Etihad Rail Concludes Successful Inaugural Global Rail 2024 with 10 Strategic MoUs
Etihad Rail, the UAE's national railway network operator, successfully wrapped up the inaugural Global Rail Transport Infrastructure Exhibition & Conference (Global Rail) 2024.
The event saw the signing of 10 significant Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with international companies specializing in railways, transport, and infrastructure.
Supported by H.H. Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of Etihad Rail, the event, held under the theme "Setting Transport Infrastructure and Global Connectivity in Motion," focused on forging strategic partnerships to drive the future of transport infrastructure. The 10 MoUs include:
- Presight AI Technologies LLC: Exploring AI and digital solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
- RITES Ltd.: Focusing on knowledge exchange in railway and infrastructure development.
- Korea National Railway (KNR) and KORAIL: Collaborating on railway construction, project management, and operations.
- Austrian Federal Economic Chamber (WKÖ): Sharing expertise in railway planning, construction, and sustainable practices.
- L&T Technology Services Limited (LTTS): Establishing a National Mobility Innovation Centre in Abu Dhabi.
- IronLev: Exploring magnetic levitation technologies to enhance rail operations.
- Nevomo: Investigating autonomous rail solutions for improved efficiency and sustainability.
- Hitachi Rail: Enhancing communication systems and integrating Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS) technology for future passenger transport.
- SBS Transit: Leveraging AI applications and mobility solutions for railway sector development.
- dmg events: Supporting collaboration and future exhibitions in the rail and infrastructure sectors.
The event also featured a Strategic Conference, over 80 panel discussions, and technical showcases aimed at transforming the global transport sector.
Global Rail 2024 signifies a major step towards the UAE’s vision of advancing sustainable and innovative railway solutions.
