Expo 2020 Dubai will help introduce Emirati companies to available opportunities in Montenegro, says Jakov Milatović, Minister of Economic Development of Montenegro.
Emirati business leaders, investors and companies to invest in Montenegro, especially in the areas of infrastructure, ports, energy, tourism and agriculture, he added.
Milatović stated this during the "UAE-Montenegro Business Forum," organised by the Federation of UAE Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FCCI), in cooperation with the Chamber of Economy and the Ministry of Economic Development of Montenegro.
The forum was attended by Abdullah Ahmed Al Saleh, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Economy, Nabila Abdulaziz Al Shamsi, UAE Ambassador to Montenegro, Farida Abdullah Al Awadhi, President of the UAE Business Women Council, and several investors from both countries.
Humaid Mohamed Ben Salem, Secretary-General of the FCCI, said,
"The federation aims to introduce companies and business leaders to available opportunities and the business environments in both countries. It also supports the establishment of joint investment projects.
He stated, calling on companies in Montenegro to benefit from available investment opportunities in the UAE.
Nina Drakic, President of the Montenegro Chamber of Economy, said
"The UAE has diverse investments in vital sectors, such as renewable energy and tourism. The tourism sector accounts for the largest share of Montenegro’s economy,"
She added, noting her country aims to diversify its economy and offer investment incentives in other economic sectors, including transport, energy and advanced sciences.
