Expo City Dubai has teamed up with Live Nation Middle East to enhance the UAE’s live music scene and champion environmental sustainability.
In a landmark agreement, Live Nation will relocate its UAE headquarters to Expo City Dubai, where both parties will collaborate on hosting events aligned with shared sustainability goals. This partnership aims to reduce the environmental impact of live events while engaging audiences on crucial climate issues.
The deal was formalized with a signing ceremony attended by H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Expo City Dubai Authority, along with Reem Al Hashimy, UAE Minister of State for International Cooperation and CEO of Expo City Dubai Authority, and James Craven, President of Live Nation Middle East. The collaboration coincides with Expo City’s newly unveiled master plan and the expansion of the Dubai Exhibition Centre, reinforcing Dubai's role as a premier event destination.
As a member of the UAE Alliance for Climate Action, Live Nation aligns closely with Expo City Dubai’s target to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050. Through Live Nation’s Green Nation platform, both entities are committed to reducing emissions, promoting renewable energy, and minimizing waste. Their sustainable event model will focus on eliminating single-use plastics and enhancing eco-friendly food and transport options.
Amna Abulhoul, Executive Creative Director of Entertainment & Experiences at Expo City Dubai, highlighted the partnership’s goal of crafting meaningful experiences that inspire and connect audiences. Craven added that the collaboration empowers Live Nation to foster global climate action while delivering world-class entertainment in the region.
