Expo City Dubai has taken a major step forward in delivering Al Waha Residences with the appointment of two leading contractors, reinforcing momentum on the luxury residential project scheduled for completion in 2027.
ARCO Group has been appointed to oversee works at Al Waha in the Mobility District, while Al Futtaim Contracting will manage delivery at the Opportunity District. The scope includes mechanical, electrical and plumbing works, landscaping, and interior finishes across both sites.
Al Waha Residences will feature more than 500 one- and two-bedroom apartments and duplex lofts distributed across 42 buildings. The development repurposes legacy infrastructure from Expo 2020 Dubai, transforming it into modern homes designed around sustainability, innovation, and community living. Homes are shaded by the signature Al Waha canopies and positioned within walking distance of Expo City’s central amenities.
Ahmed Al Khatib, Chief Development and Delivery Officer at Expo City Dubai, said the project plays a central role in shaping the city’s long-term vision. He noted that the appointment of experienced contractors will support high standards of quality and execution for future residents while advancing Expo City’s goal of sustainable urban living.
Al Waha forms part of Expo City Dubai’s growing residential portfolio, which also includes Expo Valley’s villas and townhouses, along with apartment communities such as Expo Valley Views and Mangrove, Sky, and Sidr Residences.
Strategically located between Dubai and Abu Dhabi, Expo City Dubai offers direct access to Al Maktoum International Airport, Jebel Ali Port, and the Dubai Exhibition Centre. The district is a key pillar of the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan and the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, positioning it as a central hub in the emirate’s future growth.
