What innovations and technologies are transforming the way communities address global health concerns, and how can we harness these to build a healthier happier world?
These questions lie at the core of Health and Wellness Week, the latest in a series of Expo-led thematic weeks that seek to address some of the world’s most pressing challenges.
Hosted in collaboration with Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences (MBRU) on 2 February 2021, this live-streamed, virtual event will bring together health experts from around the globe.
It will look at how the COVID-19 pandemic has tested our interconnected world, our health systems and our societies as a whole, and how it has also presented us with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to join together and design a healthier, happier global society.
The event will feature panel discussions with representatives from a range of organisations and Expo participating countries – recordings of which will be available later on demand. Members of the Expo family will also hold their own health and wellness discussions on their social media channels.
Health and Wellness Week is the sixth in a series of 10 pre-Expo thematic weeks, launched in October 2020, that bring together influential policy makers, industry chiefs and experts, as well as Expo participants and the public, to explore specific challenges and share ideas towards their solutions.
Each help shape the thought-provoking conversations taking place during the six months of Expo 2020 Dubai, where participants will seek collaborative solutions to issues such as the Global Goals; Climate and Biodiversity; Knowledge and Learning; Space; and Water –helping create a better, more sustainable future for all.
