The General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) has granted CAR 145 approval to Falcon Technic for its Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) operations.
Announced at the MEBAA Show 2024, this milestone underscores the UAE’s global leadership in aviation innovation and excellence.
Falcon Technic’s new 13,705 sq.m. MRO facility, located at the Mohammed Bin Rashid Aerospace Hub in Dubai, is equipped with advanced technology to service a wide range of aircraft, including the Airbus A380. Tailored services for VIP aircraft owners and operators include private lounges, an in-house design studio, and premium maintenance capabilities.
Saif Mohamed Al Suwaidi, Director General of the GCAA, stated,
“This CAR 145 approval reflects Falcon Technic’s dedication to aviation excellence, advancing the UAE’s position at the forefront of global standards and services.”
The facility will initially support Falcon Luxe’s Bombardier Global Express series, with approvals for additional aircraft types like Bombardier Challengers, Embraers, and Falcon 2000 Ex Easy models expected soon. Falcon Technic is also pursuing CAR 145 Base Maintenance approval and EASA PART 145 certification by 2025.
Specialized shops for interiors, non-destructive testing, and aircraft painting will enhance Falcon Technic’s services, supporting both Falcon Luxe and third-party operators.
Tahnoon Saif, CEO of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Aerospace Hub, commented,
“Falcon Technic’s MRO facility aligns with Dubai’s vision to lead in private aviation, reflecting our commitment to innovation and aviation excellence.”
With private jet traffic at the hub projected to reach 18,000 flights by the end of 2024, Falcon Technic is poised to meet growing demand and reinforce the UAE’s role as a global aviation hub.
