The Federal Tax Authority has claimed the SAP Global Innovation Award 2026 in the Services Superstar category, beating out 182 competing entities worldwide for its Corporate Tax rollout through the EmaraTax digital platform.
The award recognises organisations that use SAP solutions to accelerate business outcomes, and the FTA secured the highest rating in this year's competition. Abdulaziz Mohammed Al Mulla, Director-General of the FTA, accepted the award during a meeting with SAP representatives at the authority's Dubai headquarters, joined by Abdulla Al Bastaki, CEO of the Information Technology Sector at the FTA, along with officials from both organisations.
EmaraTax launched more than three years ago and has been developed in partnership with global consultancy Invenio. The platform now supports over 742,000 Corporate Tax registrants and handles services ranging from registration and return submissions to tax refunds and reconsideration requests, all designed for speed, accuracy, and transparency.
Al Mulla credited the win to the FTA team's pursuit of operational excellence, noting the authority runs a comprehensive innovation strategy aimed at global leadership in tax procedures. He said the approach focuses on faster service delivery, fewer requirements where possible, and building a new generation of proactive government services.
Al Bastaki added that the platform has built trust in the Corporate Tax system by processing large transaction volumes with a success rate of up to 99.5 percent, even during peak periods, while staying integrated with other government entities.
Invenio CEO Alan Hunt called the award proof of what strong collaboration and large-scale execution can achieve, pointing to the long-term partnership behind the platform's development.
The FTA said EmaraTax continues to expand, with ongoing upgrades planned across Value Added Tax, Excise Tax, and Corporate Tax services, reinforcing the platform as a model of public-private partnership in government digital transformation.
