flydubai has taken a significant step forward in its digital transformation with the launch of a new co located data centre that underpins its upgraded Modern Airline Retailing Platform.
The move marks one of the carrier’s most substantial technology enhancements and is set to strengthen the speed and efficiency of its core operations.
The platform, which handles bookings, ticketing and check in, has been rebuilt on a hybrid cloud foundation that aligns with global airline retailing standards. The upgrade enables faster workflows and greater flexibility as the airline adapts to evolving customer needs.
According to flydubai, the migration of its retailing infrastructure to the new data centre has already delivered notable performance gains. Transaction speeds have improved by 40 percent and data processing is now 45 percent faster, enhancing the responsiveness of customer facing systems.
Mohammed Hareb AlMheiri, Chief Procurement and Technology Officer at flydubai, said the milestone reflects the company’s commitment to embedding agility and intelligence into its operations. He noted that the new foundation positions the airline to accelerate innovation and elevate the customer experience as it continues to expand its digital capabilities.
